Slit Proctoscope (Plastic made):

O.A. Ana scope suitable for Kshara therapy for hemorrhoids
  • Sizes available: standard, large proctoscope size
  • Application:
    • Useful in application of kshara for hemorrhoids as per Dr Pervaje Technique
    • For legation excision of papilla, polyp etc
    • For visualization of anus and rectum
    • Used only after proper anesthesia and anal dilatation only
  • Advantages:
    • Prevents prolapse of rectal mucosa during the stage of anesthesia, in ksharathrapy
    • Avoids spillage of kshara to rectal mucosa
    • Well isolation of pile mass intended for kshara therapy
    • Instrument is light weight, easy handling, smooth surface, no injury
    • Can be sterilized, autoclaved.
    • Economic, can be used as disposable proctoscope after each ksharatherapy

  • Application:
    • Application of kshara on hemorrhoids
  • Advantages:
    • For application of kshara depending on the age of the patient and size of hemorrhoids.
    • Kshara applied without dilatation with minimum local anesthesia in small pile mass
    • Used while changing of Ksharasutra in anal fistula in cases of difficult conditions like where thread is deep inside the tissue.
    • In cases of anal fistula, to see tissue remaining for cutting in ksharasuutra therapy.
    • In assessing internal opening and for primary threading
    • In cut through or fistulotomy or to lay opening of tract at the end of Ksharasutra therapy

  • Application:

    • As it is transparent illumination and visualization is better while doing procedure
    • Used while changing of Ksharasutra in anal fistula in cases of difficult conditions like where thread is deep inside the tissue.

Malleable reversemetal probes:

  • Application:
    • Application of Ksharasutra or primary threading in anal fistula from external opening in anal or rectal fistulae
    • Probe comes out from external opening, (no need pull from anus opening) with thread inserted to hook
  • Advantages:
    • Easy to insert to fistulous tract
    • Non traumatic, no pulling of sphincters while pulling probe
    • Malleable, and easy to remove from anus or rectum after inserting in to ext opening
    • Assessing course, length, direction and number of fistulous tract
    • High level fistula without anal sphincter relaxation/dilatation and without spinal/general anesthesia
